Finding Laughter in Routine Things

Kyson's bedtime routine is pretty set in stone (for right now). I found that we started to just run through it and it was starting to feel like a chore. I got kyson an electric toothbrush to jazz things up and he is freakin loving it!! It weirdly helped me realize that these simple routine moments can be fun and full of laughter as well.
So before we brush kyson's teeth and wash his face I started having him help take off his dirty clothes in front of the mirror. It has become a "make funny faces party" and I'm loving it!
Kyson now looks forward to getting ready for bed. And is asking to learn how to brush his own teeth and put on his p.j's.
I hope I can continue this spirit of fun as this toddler is becoming more of a toddler, if you know what i mean ;)
